Dr. Craig continues and finishes his critique of New Testament scholar Bart Ehrman. Rather than span the remaining videos over the weekend and into next week, I decided to put the final three videos up today. Enjoy!
This will be a 6 part video series where Dr. Bill Craig offers a critique of Bart Ehrman’s view of the Resurrection and the historicity of the Bible. Dr. Craig is perhaps our generations foremost Christian philosopher and so these videos should prove to be highly instructive.
So is Tooltime9901 raising a priori objections or a priori rejections? If they were objections, then the issues could be dealt with in some reasonable manner. But it seems more to the truth that these are nothing more than a priori rejections – and when a rejection is a priori then the task is immensely more difficult because their is no amount of reasoning, logic, or evidence that is going to be heard or helpful. The mind is already made up and no amount of argument, regardless of how sound, is going to get through. This sort of spirit is only defeated with lot’s of prayer – so pray for Tooltime9901.
Refuting the Resurrection: Part 12 – What It All Comes Down To (5:35)
What is the Kingdom of God? That is essentially the question that Tooltime9901 is asking us to ponder in this video, and it’s a good question to ask. Tooltime9901 thinks that it is a physical kingdom only and misses that there is a spiritual aspect to it as well. In his conversation with Nicodemas, Jesus tells him that unless he is born in water and Spirit then he cannot enter the Kingdom of God (John 3:5-7). At the beginning of his ministry, while in Galilee, Jesus was preaching that “the Kingdom of God was at hand” (Mark 1:14-15).
And while Jesus said that his “Kingdom was not of this world” (John 18:36), that does not mean that the Kingdom of God is not in this world, “for indeed, the Kingdom of God is within you” (Luke 17:20).
